Fellowship Founder & Head Lecturer


Anna Glezer, MD

Dr. Glezer began her training at Harvard and then transitioned to the University of California, San Francisco, where she has been a practicing physician, teacher, mentor, and is a volunteer associate professor.

She began her experience in reproductive psychiatry at the end of residency training at Harvard's Massachusetts General Hospital, and within the first few months as an attending psychiatrist, participated in the launch of the first OB-Psychiatry clinic at UCSF. In 2017, she founded the Women's Wellness Psychiatry clinic, a practice devoted to providing comprehensive reproductive psychiatry care to women across California. As she strove to provide well rounded care, she was drawn to integrative mental health and completed an Integrative Psychiatry Fellowship Program.

She has worked with hundreds of women going through the emotional challenges of conception, pregnancy, loss, postpartum, and perimenopause. She has been interviewed for, and her written work has appeared on multiple leading sites, including Huffington Post, Fit Pregnancy, Healthline, Help Guide, and more. She has presented at local and national conferences and published in academic journals. She established the annual Bay Area Perinatal Mental Health Conference, launched the educational website Mind Body Pregnancy, and most recently launched the Women’s Wellness Psychiatry Podcast to inform women about mental health and emotional issues common in the reproductive years.

Guest Faculty

Nishi Bopal, MD

Dr. Nishi Bhopal is board certified in Psychiatry, Sleep Medicine, and Integrative Holistic Medicine. She is the founder and medical director of Pacific Integrative Psychiatry in California where patients receive a comprehensive approach to mental health & sleep, including nutrition, mindset coaching, psychotherapy, yoga and meditation, and Ayurveda. Dr. Bhopal is also the founder of IntraBalance, an online educational platform that includes a YouTube channel for physicians and therapists where she teaches evidence-based, integrative tools to optimize sleep and mental health.

Noshene Ranjbar, MD

Dr. Ranjbar completed undergraduate and medical school at the University of Virginia, followed by Family Medicine Internship at Middlesex Hospital/Hartford Hospital, Psychiatry Residency at the University of Arizona-Tucson, and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship at Boston Children’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School. Board Certified in General Psychiatry, Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, and Integrative Medicine, Dr. Ranjbar currently serves as Associate Clinical Professor of Psychiatry and Director of the Integrative Psychiatry Program at the University of Arizona. She also serves on Faculty with The Center for Mind-Body Medicine, the Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine, and the Integrative Psychiatry Institute. 

Her research focuses on training the next generation of psychiatrists to offer a holistic approach to mental health, while serving children and families most in need. As a Robert Wood Johnson Culture of Health Leader, she is expanding her work in integrative mental health and indigenous mental health nationally and internationally. Over the past 2 years, she has been helping lead efforts for professional training programs in mind-body medicine for Iranians in and outside Iran.

Courtney Reiman, DACM, LAc

Courtney Reiman is a Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine and board certified acupuncturist and clinical herbalist. She is also co-founder and Clinical Director of Akin, a clinic that provides patients evidence-based collaborative healthcare complementary to a primary care provider - across mental health therapy, acupuncture, pelvic floor physical therapy, nutrition + infant feeding support.

Courtney's specialties include reproductive health, women's health and orthopedic medicine utilizing Chinese medicine and herbal therapy, nutrition, and her background as a former professional ballet dancer, yoga instructor, and doula. 

Courtney received both her Masters and Doctorate from the American College for Traditional Chinese Medicine. As a part of her clinical training, she also studied at Zhejiang Chinese Medical University in Hangzhou, China, where she received advanced training in orthopedics and gynecology.

Kelly Young-Wolff, Ph.D.

Dr. Young-Wolff is a Research Scientist II (equivalent to Associate Professor) at the Kaiser Permanente Northern California (KPNC) Division of Research (DOR) and a licensed clinical psychologist. She is also an Adjunct Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), a Consulting Assistant Professor at the Stanford School of Medicine, and an Associate Professor at the Kaiser Permanente Bernard J. Tyson School of Medicine. Dr. Young-Wolff, completed a dual-degree PhD/MPH program (clinical psychology/biostatistics and epidemiology) from the University of Southern California, a predoctoral fellowship at Yale University in the Division of Substance Abuse, and a postdoctoral fellowship at Stanford University.

Dr. Young-Wolff has made a name for herself as an international expert in prenatal substance use and mental health, and their impact on mothers and their children, with >110 published manuscripts. Her NIDA-funded research uses self-reported and urine toxicology data from KPNC’s universal prenatal substance use screening with >400,000 diverse pregnant women to examine trends in prenatal cannabis and polysubstance use, identify women at greatest risk for continued use, and examine barriers and facilitators to quitting use during pregnancy. She is an MPI on a longitudinal birth cohort study to evaluate the effects of maternal cannabis use during pregnancy on psychiatric and neurodevelopmental and disorders in children exposed in utero. She is the contact PI on an R01 grant that examines whether prenatal cannabis use is associated with risk of adverse maternal, fetal, and neonatal outcomes, and tests whether prenatal cannabis use rises after recreational cannabis legalization in CA. Findings from these grants are providing cutting edge data on the epidemiology and health risks of cannabis use during pregnancy for mothers and their children.

Sinmi Bamgbose, MD

Sinmi Bamgbose, MD is a reproductive psychiatrist at Mindful Health Solutions and a consultation-liaison psychiatrist at Cedars Sinai Medical Center. She has a special interest in reproductive and integrative psychiatry and is committed to ensuring that all women have access to timely and cost-effective mental health care throughout their lifespan.

Dr. Bamgbose obtained her medical degree at Morehouse School of Medicine and completed her residency training in adult psychiatry at the University of California, San Francisco with a distinction in Women’s Mental Health and completed a fellowship in integrative psychiatry through the Integrative Psychiatry Institute. She currently serves on the Advisory Boards for NATAL, Candlelit Therapy, and the Maternal Mental Health Now Black Birthworkers Advisory Council. 

Darlene DeRose

Darlene DeRose holds a BA from Stanford University, an MBA from Yale University and a Masters Degree in Consciousness and Transformative Studies from JFK University, where she specialized, and earned her Certificate, in Ecotherapy.  She is an educator, public speaker, and workshop facilitator. 

In her work, Darlene conducts nature-based activities and earth-honoring rituals in keeping with both the ancient wisdom traditions and the emerging global understanding of our interdependence with nature. She is passionate about the importance of working together in community, and with the natural world, to support personal and planetary healing.  

The primary focus of her current work is the recovery community - individuals struggling with substance use disorders. A long-time Board member of Support4Recovery, a Contra Costa County non-profit that supports individuals recovering from drug and alcohol addiction, she brings nature-based activities to the recovery community.

Anietie Ukpe-Wallace, PT, DPT

Dr. Ukpe-Wallace, also known as Tia, is an orthopedic and pelvic health physical therapist who specializes in providing a continuum of care and support from pregnancy loss to postpartum all while emphasizing the importance of self-care. Tia has had a life-long fascination with the human body and its inner workings which ultimately led her to the path that she is on today. Beginning with a formal introduction to movement in college, she has continued that journey ever since.

As a yoga teacher of 8 years around the Bay Area, her practice morphed from one of structure and ego to one of humility and independent thinking. After her own chronic struggles surrounding her pelvic floor and multiple miscarriages she has grown a love for learning and understanding this part of the body that is rarely talked about and sometimes even misunderstood.

She is currently a Doctor of Physical Therapy in Oakland, CA where she offers both telehealth and concierge/in-home therapy services through her practice, Self-Care Physio and as co-founding provider with Akin, a collaborative care group. In addition, she works as a women’s health and pregnancy loss coach, is host of her former podcast, The Masterful Art of Self-Care and an amateur pole and Lyra artist.

Linda Shanti McCabe, Psy.D.

Dr. Linda Shanti holds a doctorate in Clinical Psychology and is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in the state of California. She specializes in working with women that are wanting to recover from disordered eating, accept their bodies, or learn to travel more gracefully with grief. She is a certified eating disorder specialist (CEDS), holds a certificate in grief counseling, and is a Registered Expressive Arts Therapist (REAT).

Dr.Linda has been working in the field of mental health and recovery since 1999 and believes recovery is a labor of love that "you can't keep unless you give it away." She has written two books, one on eating disorder recovery in the perinatal period and one on affirmations for grief.

Shreya Soni, ND

Dr. Shreya Soni is a naturopathic doctor practicing in San Jose, with a special interest in supporting women with endometriosis. She founded her private practice, Wholendo in 2021 with a focus in holistic hormone care to help people understand their hormones, and have pain-free periods. During her studies in biomedical engineering at University of Virginia, Dr. Soni noticed a stark gap in the treatment of chronic diseases. While the U.S. invests the most money in healthcare, statistics of chronic disease rank behind other developed nations, especially in maternal health and mortality. Dr. Soni seeks to address this gap by bridging traditional therapies with the best prevention modern medicine has to offer.

She received a doctorate in naturopathic medicine from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto, with an internship at Brampton Civic Hospital. She completed residency at the University of California Irvine. Additionally she holds a diploma in clinical homeopathy from the Centers for Education and Homeopathy and has fellowship under way with the American Academy of Environmental Medicine.

Dr. Soni is a member of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians, the California Association of Naturopathic Doctors and the American Academy of Environmental Medicine, where she recently presented on Diet, Digestion and Detoxification strategies in Endometriosis at their conference in Costa Mesa. She has helped patients recover and live pain-free from a range of health concerns, including: pelvic pain, hormone imbalance, and gastrointestinal distress.

Tara Collins, MD
Dr. Tara Collins is an integrative, community, and forensic psychiatrist. In addition to a small private practice, Dr. Collins works at Marin County Behavioral Health and Recovery Services where she treats individuals with chronic and severe mental illnesses.

Dr. Collins graduated summa cum laude with a B.S. in Biology from Howard University, and received her M.D. and M.P.H. at Emory University. She completed an adult psychiatry residency, where she served as Chief Resident of Intensive Services, and a forensic psychiatry fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco. She is board certified in adult psychiatry and forensic psychiatry. Dr. Collins was a John A. Watson Faculty Scholar at the University of California, San Francisco, and has received several honors and awards, including the Young Investigator Award from the American Academy of Psychiatry and the Law.

Dr. Collins completed a 200-hour yoga teacher training at the Ocean Beach Yoga School and a 50-hour Yin Yoga teacher training with Bernie Clark. She is a registered yoga teacher with Yoga Alliance. She completed the Ayurveda Wellness Counselor program at the Kerala Ayurveda Academy. Dr. Collins is active in the community, partnering with local nonprofit organizations to teach emotional competence workshops, dream interpretation, and yoga classes. She also serves on the board of a nonprofit community agency.

Rachel Yang, MD
Dr. Rachel Yang attended Wellesley College and the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. She completed an internship and residency in general surgery at Stanford University. She then completed a breast surgical oncology fellowship at the University of California San Francisco.

She is a certified lactation counselor and international board certified lactation consultant. She started a breastfeeding medicine clinic at Marin Health, where she also works as a breast surgeon. She leads a breastfeeding medicine collaborative research group with other physicians, nurse practitioners and midwives.
